how to hide assignments in google classroom

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Google Classroom doesn't have a direct feature to hide assignments. However, you can "unpublish" assignments, which removes them from the student view. Here's how you can do it:

Unpublishing Assignments in Google Classroom:

  1. Go to Google Classroom:

    • Open Google Classroom and navigate to the class where you want to unpublish assignments.
  2. Locate the Assignment:

    • Find the assignment you want to unpublish in the "Classwork" tab.
  3. Click on the Assignment:

    • Click on the title of the assignment to open its details.
  4. Unpublish the Assignment:

    • In the assignment details, look for the "Assign" button (or "Reopen" if the assignment is already assigned). Click on the dropdown arrow next to it.
  5. Select "Unpublish":

    • From the dropdown menu, select "Unpublish." This action will make the assignment invisible to students.
  6. Confirm:

    • Confirm your decision if prompted.
  7. Review the Classwork Page:

    • Go back to the "Classwork" tab to see if the assignment is now unpublished. Unpublished assignments may be moved to the "Drafts" section.

Keep in mind that Google Classroom may have received updates or new features since my last knowledge update in January 2022. If you are unable to find the "Unpublish" option, consider checking the latest Google Classroom guides or help resources for any changes or additional features that may have been introduced after that time.
